Trainings and Exchanges

Awake in Motion Youth Exchange

Paphos, Cyrus
20/11/2025 - 30/11/2025

What was the main topic of the project?

Melody Nirk - Stress-management and improving emotional awareness

Taisia Morenko – Understanding yourself, mindfulness, active listening and getting to know yourself better

Elo Mai Lepp - Managing stress and self-reflection

Karoliine Maasar - Mental Health

What was the biggest learning moment for you?

Melody Nirk – For me, the biggest learning point was a journaling exercise we did. I had actually done the same exercise in Estonian a couple of months ago, but doing it in English opened up some new perspectives for me.

Taisia Morenko - For me it was reflecting on my life, how its going, how I approach people and what want back from them. For me, I just understood that I am doing everything right, but there is much more to do and explore. Another learning moment - combining work and project, choosing to do right things over doing things i want to. Its like learning discipline and how to prioritise right things, balancing everything without feeling FOMO.

Elo Mai Lepp – The biggest learning moment for me was when we had sessions where we talked about how different perspectives change a situation and after talking about those topics I felt how I became even more open-minded about other people's opinions and thoughts.

Karoliine Maasar - I learned about how to keep track of your mental health with easy everyday activities like journaling.

Do you have any plans to continue being active in the field? If yes, in which way?

Melody Nirk – I will definitely use some of the activities we did in this project when organizing future team-building events with my company.

Taisia Morenko - Definitely yes. I met so many like minded and nice people. We are planning to write project together now.

Elo Mai Lepp – Maybe not professionally but I'll definitely use the new ways of thinking in my personal life.

Karoliine Maasar - I definitely want to continue practising some exercises that we did in the project in my daily life.

Would you recommend this experience to your friends? If yes, why? If no, why not?

Melody Nirk – The participants were lovely and the activities insightful, but I didn’t really enjoy the venue. The breakfast and overall food quality could have been better.

Taisia Morenko - Definitely yes. Erasmus+ is all about people and connections. Its my most fav part in that. You gotta learn about yourself through communication with others. Isnt that amazing? This is why i would definitely recommend it to everyone

Elo Mai Lepp – Yes, I totally would! We had the best team anyone could ever ask for and with everyone being active and the sessions being interesting, we all evolved and learned something useful. It was a great way to open yourself more to trust-worthy and amazing people without the fear of being judged.

Karoliine Maasar - I would indefinitely recommend Erasmus+ projects to my friends but not this specific project because of the accommodation and food.

Other comments or anything else you would like to share? You can answer in your mother tongue, if you want!

Melody Nirk – This was my first Erasmus+ project, and I definitely want to participate in more!

Taisia Morenko -Прелестно! Невероятный проект, люди, новые навыки и инсайты. - Wonderful! Incredible project, people, new skills and insights.

Karoliine Maasar -I would recommend NYH to not work with that specific host organisation in the future due to the fact that the living conditions were not suitable as they changed them at the last minute and even though the we were supposed to have 3 meals a day we only had food during lunch and dinner, breakfast was “self-served”. Also the hosting organisations members left a day earlier.

This Project was financed by European Commission’s Erasmus + Programme
