16/04/2025 - 24/04/2025

What was the main topic of the project?

Ksenia Elizabeth Kivonen - Learning about yourself and others through art.

Lisanna Teder - Creating art, being active in local community life, building connections.

Elisabeth Tomingas - Art.

Magnus Puija - Art, cultures.

Kiara Keiti Tepp - Art, cultural exchange.

What were the biggest learning moments of the event for you?

Ksenia Elizabeth Kivonen - the biggest learning moment during the Youth in Art, Peace of Art Youth Exchange was realizing how powerful art can be in building connections across cultures. There was a moment when we were all working on a collaborative project, and even though we came from different countries and spoke different languages, we understood each other perfectly through the art we were creating.

Lisanna Teder - We painted on the house with natural colors - they were from some kind of stones and we just added water to use it. I have never used paints like this before.

Elisabeth Tomingas - I learnt a lot about the cultures of the people participating. Also I now know about different activities I could hold in other projects.

Magnus Puija - First time so far south. A lot of people are open-minded, you just have to take initiative.

Kiara Keiti Tepp - The biggest learning moment for me was that how much we can learn from each other and there is never one perspective about a situation, we have to listen to others and try to understand their perspective too. In addition everything is enjoyable if we have the right mindset. How we feel depends on who we surround ourselves with.

Do you have any plans to continue being active in the field? If yes, in which way?

Ksenia Elizabeth Kivonen - Yes, to go to the projects, learning about other cultures & topics more!

Lisanna Teder - Yes, I love doing art and this exchange only gave me more inspiration and ideas on how to turn something into art.

Elisabeth Tomingas - Yes! I love erasmus and I will continue participating in projects.

Magnus Puija - Probably going to take some new projects when I find the time. Finding the time is going to be hard, but I'll manage.

Kiara Keiti Tepp - It is possible, I was thinking of trying to participate more in this field. I hope to have courage in the future to maybe help organize a project.

Would you recommend this experience to your friends? If yes, why? If no, why not?

Ksenia Elizabeth Kivonen - Yes, the best experience of my life! Love living life. Erasmus+ is one of the best opportunities I’ve ever had!

Lisanna Teder - Yes, absolutely! I met so many amazing people and made such a good memories, I would recommend it to anyone!

Elisabeth Tomingas - Of course! Erasmus is the best way to grow as a person.

Magnus Puija - Absolutely, a good way to learn about foreign cultures and not that expensive. Amazing way to meet like-minded people.

Kiara Keiti Tepp - Of course! I have already told my friends about this experience and teached them how to apply etc. Experiences like this change a person for the better and we learn so much about ourselves during the project also. It’s amazing to have connections in the future. In addition this experience may improve some person’s mental health as some participants quoted.

Other comments or anything else you would like to share? You can answer in your mother tongue, if you want!

Kiara Keiti Tepp - I am so grateful for this opportunity! The project went really well and we had an amazing group of people, all really kind-hearted.

This Project was financed by European Commission’s Erasmus + Programme
