Voices of the next generation

Weimar, Germany
25/07/2025 - 01/08/2025

What was the main topic of the project?

Kristi – Media literacy

Nikita Jegorov - Media

Sofia Germ - The main topic of the project was the influence of the media on society, including propaganda and journalism

Lelet Reinberg – Journalism

Leeni Anderson - Media literacy

What was the biggest learning moment for you?

Kristi – I learned to use specific tools to spot fake news.

Nikita Jegorov - Facilitators showed us some very useful websites that can be used in Media area.

Sofia Germ - I think the biggest learning moment for me was working in a group with people who had different levels of knowledge. I was only a beginner in media, while others had already completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in this field and knew much more than me. The most important thing I learned was not to be afraid of complicated tasks, because there is always someone who can help and explain. I can also say that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger

Lelet Reinberg – How propaganda can be in diffrent fonts/ visuals and difference between hate speech and free speech

Leeni Anderson - How much can media manipulate how society views a certain topic

Do you have any plans to continue being active in the field? If yes, in which way?

Kristi – Yes, the field is very green and flowering, so I do want to be part of it as much as possible.

Nikita Jegorov - I am doing my bachelor's in Public Relations, so I believe my future career will be strongly connected with the topics, we were talking about during the project.

Sofia Germ - Yes, I think so, because it is an interesting and always relevant field. However, in my life I would not prefer to become a journalist.

Lelet Reinberg - Maybe, i want to study journalism in the future

Leeni Anderson- Yes, right now i am in the school paper

Would you recommend this experience to your friends? If yes, why? If no, why not?

Kristi - Yes, I already recommended because it's such a fun way to learn new things, discover new places, learn about yourself and meet new people. I wouldn't recommend this experience to friends who don't like exploring the world, expand their future or just don't like having fun.

Nikita Jegorov - Would totally recommend, because it was a great learning moment. I got to know a lot about media literacy and also made new friends from different parts of Europe.

Sofia Germ - Of course, I would recommend it because you never know how your life will turn out. You should try to apply and discover the world. I met many people who became my friends, and I still keep in touch with them. This is a great opportunity for young people who are ready to share their knowledge, experience, and skills with others!

Lelet Reinberg - Yes!! People were amazing

Leeni Anderson - Yes, because it was very educational and fun to meet so many different people

Other comments or anything else you would like to share? You can answer in your mother tongue, if you want!

Leeni Anderson - Nii armas oli, et kõik osalejad olid toredad ja jagasid erinevatel teemadel oma vaatepunkte

Nikita Jegorov - Great Project

This Project was financed by European Commission’s Erasmus + Programme
