About the Project
"SUNDIVE. SURFING LIFE - THE DIGITAL WAVE" - Nowadays, we depend more and more on digital tools with or without Al integration, like ChatGPT, Synthesia, Google Maps, etc. for work and personal life, without fully knowing the risks that these tools bring, like the lack of privacy, creation of dependencies, and so-called doom scrolling.
To find a balance between the use of such tools and creating healthy lifestyle and relationships with our peers, we decided to bring together young people from different cultures and backgrounds, providing a safe space through conscious debate, engaging activities, and mindfulness practices.
TunVerstehen – is a non-profit organization based in Asturias, Spain, dedicated to providing non-formal education opportunities to local youngsters. Our focus is on unlocking creativity, exploring talents, and embracing diverse cultures.
TunVerstehen’s mission is to offer development opportunities that empower young people, foster integration, and promote understanding of individual and societal actions through constructive debate and engagement.
Goal
The goal of the "SUNDIVE. SURFING LIFE – THE DIGITAL WAVE" project is to empower young people to develop a balanced, mindful, and critical relationship with digital tools through intercultural dialogue, creative activities, and self-awareness practices.
Objectives:
- Establish a safe space through ice-breakers, team-building, and intercultural nights.
- Facilitate introspection followed by a debate on the usage of digital tools, through activities that are inspired by coaching, gamification, and mindfulness.
- Facilitate a discussion about healthy habits regarding digital tools, and create a list of tips and tricks for responsible daily use.
- Apply tools from yoga and mindfulness during experiential, integrative, and reflective non-formal education sessions focused on improving mental wellbeing.
Participants profile:
