nyh esc solidarity corps italy escNoored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for European Solidarity Corps (ESC) long-term volunteering project in Sicily, Italy.

DATES: 13th November 2024 –  10th May 2025

 

About the project: Strauss APS will select 2 long-term volunteers to take part in 4 different project in the local community of Mussomeli, with a very specific target group according to the identified needs: artistic, theatrical and creative activities with people with disabilities (project 1), local children and youth (project 2) in order to contribute for their social integration, integration and development of vulnerable minors (project 3), inclusion activities through a community kitchen (project 4). The project will be hosted by Strauss APS and it’s partners. Activities include art and creativity, personal and educational support, non formal education, capacity building, arts, drama, media and podcasts, campaigns, language and culture learning, awareness and inclusiveness and much more, both in volunteers and participants. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will be involved in activities 5 days per week, maximum of 35 working hours. They will live together in the beautiful Spinnato palace, a historical place in the centre of Mussomeli, in shared rooms. The flat is very large and contains all the necessary facilities, including a large terrace. The volunteer will receive a 6€/day pocket money and a food pocket to manage and buy food.

 

Training raining during the activity:

Welcome training, Italian classes, Youthpass Training Cycle, Mid Term Evaluation and final Evalutation, run by Strauss APS. On-Arrival Training run by Italian National Agency.

  • 18-30 years old. 2 person.
  • Motivated to contribute to solidarity and make a positive impact on communities or individuals in need.
  • Flexible and adaptable, willing to accept new environments, cultures and challenges.
  • Open spirit and willingness to learn for personal and intellectual growth.
  • Communicative and empathetic.
  • Open to working in teams.
  • Open-minded attitude.
  • Responsible and reliable, demonstrating a sense accountability in fulfilling the volunteer role and commitments.
  • Open to sharing and transmitting own values and culture.
  • Appreciated also: digital, graphics, computer, creativity, art, pragmatic & practical skills.
