NOORTEVAHETUS
Name of the project: “Music Uproots Stereotypes and Exclusion 2.0” – “MUSE 2.0” Youth Exchange
Date: 02th-17th August, 2024
City/Country: Stratoni, Greece
What was the main topic of the project?
Adriana Loginova – Music uproots stereotypes and exlusion.
Liis Karol Reimkel – Music.
Inga Randma – Improving the musical skills of both beginners and more skilled musicians. Every participant, no matter the background, had an important role in organizing the music festival and keeping the group united/inspired.
Andrii Diedov – Music and Arts, stereotypes.
Andrii Stakhov – Music.
What were the biggest learning moments of the event for you?
Adriana Loginova – Learning how to play musical instruments, sing and learning music sheet.
Liis Karol Reimkel – I learned a lot about music, especially drums and rhythm. I also learned to work in a team to put together a musical show, where everyone had their own part to play. We also had exercises about stereotypes, which really widened my horizon.
Inga Randma – I learned how much musicians truly dedicate their lives to music. We had some longer days in the project where we practiced songs for many hours and it was really interesting but also required a lot of patience. For musicians it could be daily thing for their whole life and I respect them so much more now because of that. We only see musicians performing on stages and it seems to be easy for them, but in reality there is always so much hard work behind it and free time they have dedicated for this one moment.
Andrii Diedov – History of Greece, cultural things between participants, music, arts.
Andrii Stakhov – How to read music notes and also how to sing correctly.
Do you have any plans to continue being active in the field? If yes, in which way?
Adriana Loginova – Yes, i would like to learn more about art amd music.
Liis Karol Reimkel – I do plan on learning more music, specifically how to play the guitar, because it is something I already tried a few years ago. I would definitely want to have music as part of my hobby.
Inga Randma – I’m really interested in becoming even better at playing the guitar and I also want to try to play the drums again.
Andrii Diedov – Yes, I would apply for the interesting opportunities for me in future and trying my best to help my team.
Andrii Stakhov – I liked it, and I am also enjoying music. Maybe I will do something in this sphere in the future. At least, I would like to learn how to play piano.
Would you recommend this experience to your friends? If yes, why? If no, why not?
Adriana Loginova – Yes, this is one of the most beautiful youth exchanges i ever had. Best community, facilitators and inviroment. Best opportunity and experience learning about art.
Liis Karol Reimkel – I would 100% recommend this experience, because for me, it was the best project I’ve been on so far. I met so many wonderful people and the project itself was very well put together and everything went smoothly. The facilitators were amazing and I believe that everyone involved, including me, learned a lot about the world of music.
Inga Randma – Definitely, it was so inspiring to meet all these talented people from different countries. The program was very well organized so that we could learn about music as much as possible in this short time.
Andrii Diedov – Yes, it was an excellent experience.
Andrii Stakhov – Yes, because it was interesting and full program. A lot of fun and art.
Other comments or anything else you would like to share? You can answer in your mother tongue, if you want!
