NOORTEVAHETUS
Name of the project: “Masters Of Body And Mind” Youth Exchange
Date: 8th – 17th May, 2024
City/Country: Čiūrai village, Lithuania
What was the main topic of the project?
Kelly Kardin – Being healthy and active, by exploring mindfulness and body movements.
Lisanna Teder – Mental health, mindfulness, active lifestyle.
Elerin Andruse – Mindfulness and body movement.
Mariel Karilaid – Physical and mental wellbeing.
Sofia Goltsman – Get in touch with your body, To know your body.
What were the biggest learning moments of the event for you?
Kelly Kardin – The biggest learning moment for me was that I have to live in the moment!
Lisanna Teder – That when you feel that some difficult feeling is coming up, don’t try to push it down, don’t try to escape. This way it will only persist longer. Just breathe and let the feeling come. Just feel, breathe, relaxing into it and letting it go on it’s own time.
Elerin Andruse – I learned a lot of spiritual practices that were new to me; like breathing meditation, hatha yoga, dance practice called 5 rhythms and some mindfulness exercises.
Mariel Karilaid – Doing the exercise about unconscious patterns.
Sofia Goltsman – That yoga is really relaxing and nature revitalises the head.
Do you have any plans to c0ntinue being active in the field? If yes, in which way?
Kelly Kardin – Yes, I would like to participate more in erasmus+ projects.
Lisanna Teder – Being more mindful in my daily life and recognizing some patterns i might have created over time. Also being more in touch with my feelings.
Elerin Andruse – Yes, some practices I have started using in my everyday life and our Estonian team is planning to share mindfulness exercises on a event.
Mariel Karilaid – Maybe.
Sofia Goltsman – No.
Would you recommend this experience to your friends? If yes, why? If no, why not?
Kelly Kardin – Yes, you can learn a lot about yourself.
Lisanna Teder – Yes I would totally recommend this! The project was amazing and the people were so warm and welcoming. I loved the excercises we did there and overall vibe, it was so nice. For me it was a total rollercoaster of emotions, but I learned so much from it, and I had all these amazing people beside me who lended me a hand or a shoulder to cry on when I needed it. I learned so much about myself and others, I’m so grateful for it. I learned how to be more playful and how to enjoy life more fully. It was truly amazing opportunity and I would totally recommend it to my friends!
Elerin Andruse – Yes, absolutely. It was like a retreat, calm atmosphere, nature around us. Organizers and participants were all open minded wonderful beings, made so many amazing memories with them. Program was well-planned and carried through. Loved every minute of it.
Mariel Karilaid – Yes. Very much practical knowledge as well as many opportunities to simply have a great time.
Sofia Goltsman – I would recommend this to my friends because I think the ability to relax is very important in today’s world and a lot of people don’t know how to do it.
Other comments or anything else you would like to share? You can answer in your mother tongue, if you want!
Lisanna Teder – Aitäh kõige eest! Olen tohutult tänulik!
Sofia Goltsman – Спасибо за возможность участвовать.
