Name of the project: “SKAB’ing: Diving into Skills, Knowledge, Attitudes & Behaviours” Training Course

What was the main topic of the project?

Oleksandra Leonovych – Attitudes and behaviors in self-directed learning.

Danila Sviridov – Deconstructing the ETS Competence Models; Understanding of and Relationship building with the ETS Competence Models: Self-Exploration and Personal Development Co-Creation and Participation Skills.

What were the biggest learning moments of the event for you?

Oleksandra Leonovych – Trust the process, trust the people. One of the activities called cook-telling story lab taught me that if working in a team and thinking “outside of the box”, you can find a limitless amount of solutions.

Danila Sviridov – For me, this was the group work and reflection exercises, which we did three times during the meeting. It was interesting to see how the participants loosen up and become closer.

Do you have any plans to c0ntinue being active in the field? If yes, in which way?

Oleksandra Leonovych – Yes, I plan to cooperate with another participant from this training and organise a workshop for the youth work volunteers from our organization to teach them about learning and professional growth opportunities they have within youth work and how they can find and use them.

Danila Sviridov – I will definitely remain active in this environment for the reason that I am a youth worker and the use of unformal learning methods is commonplace. We will also have a second meeting within this project in June, where I will be able to learn more about attitudes and behaviours.

Would you recommend this experience to your friends? If yes, why? If no, why not?

Oleksandra Leonovych – Yes, because to me, besides learning, it was also a great way to understand myself, my own behaviors and what I want to achieve.

Danila Sviridov – Yes, I am always happy to recommend such projects and training to my friends for unformal learning and also to find useful contacts.

Oleksandra Leonovych – I loved our training group, we had a lot of totally different participants, but together we created, in my opinion, an amazing, colorful and diverse group dynamics 🙂
