Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “Play – Create-Integrate” which will take place from the 19th until the 28th of May 2024 in Olsztyn, Poland.
About the project:
The main purpose of the project is to show the alternative of spending free time in a creative way with friends, using national games that were popular in the old days when there were no smartphones, TV or the Internet and our grandparents played it, and for us are unknown. During the project, young people will get to know the various popular games from the other country, play them, and then in international groups will be working on new games, combining some of the elements from previously known games. New games will be presented and tested by children from the Primary School in Olsztyn. In order to distribute new games we will made a booklet in English and each partner language with information about new games, with their rules etc. Booklet will be distributed to the local community in Olsztyn, Bartąg, Ruś (in kindergartens, schools, etc.),in social media, OHP units and partner countries.
The project will allow to develop creative thinking while creating a new original games and will feel that all participants create something new, innovative, original and useful for the whole of Europe.
Participants will learn how to work in international groups, develop their creativity, critical thinking, and gain social competence. During the exchange, young people will become acquainted with the culture and language of the partner countries, overcome stereotypes and linguistic and cultural barriers. The activities planned in the project are intended to stimulate imagination and creative thinking as well as international integration.
Activities:
– Name games, ice-breaking games, trust games and teambuilding.
– Workshops about games: Every country will be presenting their national games from the old days.
– Language animation.
– Sightseeing in Olsztyn.
– Interaction with local people from Olsztyn, Bartąg (kids and youth).
– Intercultural evenings (Every group should bring some typical food from their country. At intercultural evening each group will make a short presentation of their country in creative way (it depends on you how you will present your country – feel free :D).
– Reflection & evaluations: every day we will have time for a short reflection and evaluation of the day (activities, skills, knowledge, feelings, activities, stuff, ect.) At the end of the project we will have time for final evaluation.
– Open Space: If you have anything that you would like to share with whole group, there will be opportunity during the exchange to do it.
– Active (daily) reporting of project activities on project social media
– LEAFLET/ booklet WITH THE RULES OF THE NEW GAMEs (in mother language also in English) we will do it together during the exchange.
Preparation Meeting:
2 days (Arrival on 25th of April 2024, Departure on 27th of April 2024) in Olsztyn, 1 group leader per country
The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 275 EUR. There are 6 vacancies available (5 participants + 1 leader). There will be a participation fee of 40 EUR per participant. Participants age should be from 17 to 23 years old. The leader should be 18+ years old, without the upper age limit. Countries involved: Romania, Estonia, North Macedonia, Poland.
