What were the biggest learning moments of the event for you?

Heliis-Alexandra Kägo – The biggest learning moment was when we ourselves were a part of an activity and saw that sometimes the participants of the activity can also contribute to the activity.

Oleksandra Lisova – Thanks to Project I learned more about outdoor education methodology focused on importance of local heritage, fragility and protection of the environment. In particular we practiced such Outdoor Activities: Mission Isora, Workshop of Outdoor Gamification, Walk & Talk, The Earth Walk along the seaside, Teno Treasure Hunt, Hiking and Star glazing in Teide, Beach cleaning, Heritage Interpretation & Orienteering games, Language Learning techniques. Due the concept and practice of Experiential Learning we examined the landscape shaped by incredible forces of nature, learned about the unique world of plants and animals, discovered the natural history and cultural heritage of the Tenerife. Positive atmosphere, intercultural exchange and safe environment was a part of the process during the Project. Every day we reflected up on what have we done, what was the purpose and how can we use this back in personal and professional development. One of the important elements of the Project was Designing and implementing our own outdoor learning activities in educational settings. Using speed thinking creation tool, we worked out an online Tool-Box for 5 different activities: “Mission is Possible”, “Resiles for Diego”, “Body & Mind”, “Escape Island”, “The Story of Light”. Collaborative learning techniques allowed us to experience, implemented and develop outdoor education activities with a perspective of use in our local communities.

Do you have any plans to continue being active in the field? If yes, in which way?

Heliis-Alexandra Kägo – Yes, I am a coach so during the summertime or when it isn’t raining, I could apply the things I learned into my trainings

Oleksandra Lisova – Yes, I learned the practical examples of learning activities performed outdoors, which inspired me to design of novel tasks for local community. Also, I developed visual and critical thinking skills, delving into a broader range of knowledge about the protection and valorization of cultural heritage to seek a European identity that ties itself to common and tangible roots. The Project increased awareness of the role of outdoor learning in promoting personal growth, well-being, incorporate sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Would you recommend this experience to your friends? If yes, why? If no, why not?

Heliis-Alexandra Kägo – Yes and hundreds of times a yes. The program was flexible to the needs of activities, the organization was very good and the people doing the program really love their topic and the people there were amazing, and the place of the program was like a paradise, we saw all the different aspects and climate of Tenerife.

Oleksandra Lisova – Of course! I believe learning outside improves engagement, enhances motivation and enthusiasm, and promotes curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Furthermore, it brings health and well-being benefits: it increases confidence, and resilience, coping, social skills, behavior and interaction in the group.koolitus training course nyh spain paths learning
