What was the main topic of the project?
Eneli Kalbus – The project provided an overview of building communities via community organising and non-violent direct actions.
Kaia-Liisa Reinhold – Building communities via community organising and non-violent direct actions.
What were the biggest learning moments of the event for you?
Eneli Kalbus –I feel like my biggest learning moment was realising how much you can actually achieve through community organising. It wan a truly inspiring course. But besides the course itself I leaned a lot about different people and their cultures which was a really fun and enlightening experience.
Kaia-Liisa Reinhold – I learned a lot in this project. The biggest learning moment was how to get people with similar issues to work together to move towards a solution. I learned what are the steps to get an unorganised group form into an organised community. I understood what are the steps to understand the issue and create change (for example using the problem-solution tree and thinking about the pillars of support).
Do you have any plans to continue being active in the field? If yes, in which way?
Eneli Kalbus –I think right now I will not start organising communities yet but I think that this new knowledge is definitely going to find use in the future. However I will start using different teaching techniques and energisers that I picked up from the course in my lesson plans and university work.
Kaia-Liisa Reinhold – Yes, I plan on being active in this field. I am actively working with young people to whom I can pass my learned knowledge on so they can create change in their lives. I plan to educate myself further and be active in this field to make change in the future.
Would you recommend this experience to your friends? If yes, why? If no, why not?
Eneli Kalbus –Yes, I would definitely recommend this experience to friends because it is not just something you can explain, you have to experience it yourself. Participating in an Erasmus+ project will teach you so much about the world, people, cultures and yourself.
Kaia-Liisa Reinhold – Yes! I deeply recommend this experience to my friends! This was the most intense experience I’ve had so far in youth work. I learned a lot on a level that is not possible in traditional school.

Kaia-Liisa Reinhold – I am extremely thankful for the experience! I got some life long connections in my professional field and learned a lot about myself. I am thanking the organisers and trainers for this meaningful experience.
