Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for European Solidarity Corps (ESC) long-term project “Learn and Play” which means supporting non formal education center and giving services for the local community in Faenza, Italy.
Dates: 12 MONTHS from August 2023 to August 2024.
We believe that teaching and sharing are the best way of learning, and that constantly improving oneselves is vital to the wellness of human beings and society.
In order to provide everybody with the chance to learn, however, it is necessary to adapt the teaching to the student, to explore new methods, to share experiences and knowledge because teaching and learning are most effective when they represent two sides of the same coin.
Activities:
The activities will be equally divided into Learning and Volunteering, they will follow a learning by doing approach in the frame of non formal education.
- Languages (Italian and English);
- Pedagogical methods and doing researches;
- Implementing personal projects;
- Study-group with kids and teenagers;
- Language workshops;
- Social media management and blogging;
- Workshops in schools
Working days: Monday Friday.
Working hours: from 30 to 35 hours per week.
Where?
Faenza is a small city (roughly 60.000 inhabitants) but it’s culturally quite active as it is a worldly center for artistic ceramics.
Geographically it is situated in the region Emilia Romagna (in the province of Ravenna), and it is close to both the Appenninis mountains and the Adriatic see. It is very well connected by public transports to Bologna, Ravenna and also Firenze, very important Italian artistic cities.
Emilia Romagna is located in center Italy, very well.connected with both the north and the south, with the mountains and seaside. The main city is Bologna.
Emilia Romagna is famous for the food: lasagne, Bolognese sauce and much more!
Accomodation, food and transport agreements:
We propose 3 different accommodations in the city center of Faenza, each of them not further than 10 minutes by foot from the main square or activities places, 20 minutes from the train station. Each of the accommodations are fully furnished and have a fully functioning kitchen. We offer 300 euros each month as pocket and food money. Organization promotes ecological travel – ensures each volunteer will receive access to the city’s bike sharing system.
Participant`s profile:
We’re looking for a volunteer between 18 to 30. We don’t select our volunteers according to previous knowledge or experience but only according to motivation. So, please, read the description of the project carefully before applying. We don’t select according to gender, sexual orientation, ethnic group, income.
