Triinu-Johanna Tagarand – Refugee situation around the world.
Tatjana Semjonova – Social inclusion for Refugees.
What were the biggest learning moments of the event for you?
Rebeca Rotberg – Biggest learning moment was putting myself into refugees position through role-play and different tasks.
Aleksei Kuroljov – Example of Turkey’s refugee situation and how it is approached by the government, what people of this country think about it and how they are affected by it. Turkey is one of the countries that is most affected by refugees and immigrants of different cultures and ethnicity, which have they own specific reasons to seek refugee asylum.
Triinu-Johanna Tagarand – Public speaking.
Tatjana Semjonova – Various missions where we decided what are the reasons for people to leave their home country. I also had the opportunity to find out how things are with migrants in different countries, where the project participants come from.
Do you have any plans to continue being active in the field? If yes, in which way?
Rebeca Rotberg – I would really like to spread awareness to the youngsters I work with and of course all the people around me as well. Spreading awareness is a great way to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Aleksei Kuroljov – I am looking forward to putting my knowledge and skills to good use to raise awareness and spread information and to help refugees that are in need.
Triinu-Johanna Tagarand – Yes, I think it’s a very important topic and i can help a lot of people.
Tatjana Semjonova – I would like to know more about what our country offers for people with this problem.
Would you recommend this experience to your friends? If yes, why? If no, why not?
Rebeca Rotberg – I would recommend it definitely, it deepens the understanding of refugee issues and contributes positively towards supporting this vulnerable population.
Aleksei Kuroljov – I would definitely recommend this experience to my friends and acquaintances. Refugee crisis is a relatively new situation for Estonia and Turkey’s example has a lot to teach us. Training course was well organised and we had people that had experience or passion in this field and topic. It was a great opportunity to learn!
Triinu-Johanna Tagarand – Yes, I think they can learn a lot from it.
Tatjana Semjonova – Of course, I would recommend this project to my friends, because it raises a very important topic, which many do not even think about.
Other comments or anything else you would like to share? You can answer in your mother tongue if you want!
Aleksei Kuroljov – Kadayif with kahvesi 11/10
Tatjana Semjonova – I really liked that the teams from different countries were not large, thanks to which everyone communicated with each other in English. Relations with the members were very close, as if we became real friends.
