Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “Connect With You(th)” which will take place from 16th until 25th April 2023 in Vilanova de Arousa, Spain.
The main aim of this project is to involve 50 participants from 9 different countries in order to prove the importance of spending time on self-knowledge to work on or connect with oneself and to create a safe/personal space to go to in our daily lives through artistic expression.
The project aims to take into account the number of stimuli that we live daily in the world around us, we want to raise awareness about the importance of connecting with ourselves & self-knowledge in daily decision-making.
The main idea is to work through art expression. During these days, we will experience different activities related to body movement, mindfulness, painting, writing, music… And more!
Project Objectives:
- To make visible the different situations that occur in different countries in reference to the importance of personal well-being or mental health.
- To analyze the factors that that today make it difficult for us to carry out a routine as smoothly as possible.
- To connect with our tastes and real preferences.
- To make visible the importance of art in society.
- To encourage the importance of self-care.
- To demonstrate that everyone is capable of manifesting art.
- To prioritize the development of empathy and solidarity through personal self-knowledge.
Skills you will get:
- Motivation and ability to create and implement local actions on the importance of investing daily time in oneself through artistic expression.
- Deeper knowledge and understanding about taking care of ourselves.
- Intercultural competences and better understanding of people from different backgrounds.
- Self-knowledge of oneself and of the emotions that one can feel.
- Efficiency in decision making
Participant’s Profile:
We are looking for participants who are motivated and interested in art as a tool for social change. Age: 18-30 years old (except group leader). Background: interested in the project topic and dissemination activities.
The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 345 EUR. There are 5 vacancies available. There will be a participation fee of 40 EUR per participant.
