Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting calls for participants for European Solidarity Corps (ESC) projects which will take place in eleven different organisations in Italy.

 

About Hosting Organisation: InCo – Molfetta
It is a no-profit association, born at unformal level in 2013, thanks to a group of members moving to Apulia region after many mobility experiences. The aim of the association is to promote and support mobility abroad, contacts, exchanges and meetings at international level; to promote mutual tolerance and intercultural sensitivity among young people; to support the unformal process of European integration in our community. In addition, InCo-Molfetta activities are addressed to create intercultural abilities and non-formal competences for all the participants.

Vacancy 1: Associazione “Appoggiati a Me Onlus”

It was born in March 2014 because of the commitment of a group of parents – united by the need to fill the gaps of public welfare in terms of disability and the desire to build a sustainable life project over time for a future of real social inclusion of own children.

Vacancy 3: Istituto di Istruzione Secondaria Superiore Liceo Classico-Scientifico

Istituto di Istruzione Secondaria Superiore Liceo Scientifico “A. Einstein”, Liceo Classico “L. Da Vinci” is an upper secondary school located in the city of Molfetta (Adriatic Coast) and it is attended by more than 700 students in 32 classrooms, employing more than 60 people among teachers and staff members. The institute gathers 2 secondary schools, which are the Liceo Classico “Leonardo da Vinci” and the Liceo Scientifico “Albert Einstein”.

Vacancy 4: Istituto Comprensivo “Battisti-Pascoli”

Istituto Comprensivo “Battisti-Pascoli” is a kindergarten (3-6 year-old), primary (6-11 year-old) and secondary school (11-14 year-old pupils), promoting pupils’ wellbeing and inclusion (many of them are of different nationalities), intercultural education, development of digital skills and language learning, prevention of early school leaving, bullying and cyber bullying, collaboration with families and the local community; laboratory teaching. The purpose of primary education is to enable pupils to acquire the fundamental knowledge and skills to develop basic cultural competence.

Vacancy 5 : Junior Secondary School Monterisi

Junior Secondary School Monterisi 783 students from 10 to 13 years and a staff of 84 teachers. The school is equipped with a gym, an auditorium, an IT lab, a language lab and wi-fi connection. It is one of the few schools in Italy with two musical sections where pupils learn to play various instruments (piano, guitar, clarinet, violin, cello, flute, trumpet) and it has a school orchestra formed by more than 100 pupils.

Vacancy 6: Auser Molfetta ODV

“Auser” is a non-profit organization committed mainly to promoting the active aging of the elderly and enhancing their role in society. While the main focus lies primarily on the elderly, the organization is open to building fruitful relations and dialogue between generations, nationalities, different cultures.

Vacancy 7: Camper Club Trullo, Molfetta

Camper Club Trullo Beach is a non-profit organization born in 2015 in Molfetta, with the aim to foster environment-friendly relationship between man and nature. The organization is located outside the city, on the seaside between Molfetta and Giovinazzo and provides services and resting area for campers and travelers, who like this kind of experience. The main goal of Trullo Beach is promotion of sustainable and solidarity tourism, by carrying out recreational and sports initiatives and activities, facilitating cultural exchange between travelers and locals, providing inclusion and adequate assistance to those with fewer opportunities and with disabilities, taking care of our environment and biodiversity.

Vacancy 8: Istituto Comprensivo “Manzoni-Poli”

Istituto Comprensivo “Manzoni-Poli” is made up of seven schools (five Nursery schools, two Primary schools and one Low Secondary school or Middle School, as it is called in Italy) located in different areas of the town. Its users come from different social backgrounds and have also got different educational needs. Nursery school pupils are from age 3 to 5, pupils from Primary school are from age 6 to 11 and Secondary school students are from 11 to 14.

Vacancy 9: Cooperativa Sociale Qualcosa di Diverso

XFARM Agricoltura prossima is a project by Cooperativa Sociale Qualcosa di Diverso, born after the experience of Laboratorio Urbano ExFadda in San Vito dei Normanni: a social, ecological and multicultural farm created from the recovery of lands confiscated from the mafia in Apulia. We are a group of young people under 35 committed to transforming 50 hectares of lands, once a symbol of illegality and unsustainable agriculture, into a “Manifesto Farm” of good social, ecological, and cultural practices.

Vacancy 10: The School ITET “G. Salvemini”

The School ITET “G. Salvemini” is a technical and technological upper secondary school attended by about 500 students. It has evening courses for adults and has been offering various extracurricular activities both to our students and to the public. It offers the following courses: Business Information Technological Systems, Administration, Finance and Marketing, Tourism and finally Building Crafts, Environment and Territory.

Vacancy 11: Fondazione Anffas “Giulio Locatelli” Onlus

It was born in 1969 as a voluntary association. It works in the social health care. Since 1994 it runs the “Giulio Locatelli” centre, a residential and daily care service for people with different levels of disabilities. The guests are from 5 years old up. The principal aims are to give a non independent person physical, emotional and relational support based on his real needs, to improve his quality life also in terms of inclusion and integration. It also organizes daily socio-occupational craftsrooms, recreational and sportive activities supported by the local volunteers

Insurance

The volunteer will be cover by a Cigna Group Medical and Non-Medical Insurance Plan that is covered by found of ESC project.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

• Young people between 18 and 30 years old who are legally residing in Estonia and have registered in the European Solidarity Corps Portal.
• Must be very motivated and committed to the voluntary activity;
• Interested in the topic of the project.
• A minimum B1 level of English. Knowledge of Italian language is a plus

There are 11 vacancies available, and participants should be between 18-30 years old.
