What was the main topic of the event?
Anastassia Pavlenko – The topic of the project was about how we can extend diverse and inclusive environmental locations, re-connect with nature through mindfulness and outdoor activities.
Doris Järvsoo – Connecting with nature/ diversity & inclusion
Leo Kulisch – The training course was about discrimination of marginalized groups taking place in environmental places and how we can contribute to re-claim nature as a place for everyone.
Sandra Tarve – The main topic was discrimination and inclusion, which is frequently observed in outdoor spaces
What were the biggest learning moments of the event for you?
Anastassia Pavlenko – Biggest learning moment for me was probably the part, then I realised that this project is changing something in me. Re – connecting with nature really helps to open up and show your real emotions, by accepting who you really are.
Doris Järvsoo – Patience – the group was big and the age gaps were huge. The training course taught me to listen to others and to participate in conversations which at first glance where out of my field.
Leo Kulisch – Discrimination can appear in various ways and forms. It could be a lot more done to make society more inclusive.
Sandra Tarve – I learned from the others perspective, through outdoor activities and workshops that we had. I got so many ideas from this training and it really opened my eyes.
Do you have any plans to continue being active in the field? If yes, in which way?
Anastassia Pavlenko – Yes, definitely! This project made me realise that there are a lot of things in this world that can be improved, so I’m ready to share the knowledge that I got from the project!
Doris Järvsoo – Subjects about diversity & inclusion are very important to me and I definitely plan to continue working with these topics on my professional & educational paths (NGO work/ masters degree).
Leo Kulisch – Yes! I would like to organize activities to educate people about discrimination and support the fight against discrimination.
Sandra Tarve – Yes, I gained a lot of knowledge and new ideas which I now want to implement into my life
Would you recommend this experience to your friends? If yes, why? If no, why not?
Anastassia Pavlenko – Yes, because these kind of project are not only educating, but also help you find a lot of friends and new connections around the world. Every project is unique and I would definitely recommend everyone to grab the opportunity!
Doris Järvsoo – Definitely. Because it teaches a lot about team work, people, nationalities and gives the participants a great opportunity to step out of one’s comfort zone in a “safe” and encouraging way. Also it’s immensely beneficial for networking and making connections.
Leo Kulisch – I would absolutely recommend taking part in a training course like this one! It offers the possibility to gain professional knowledge. At the same time, you get the chance to explore new places (such as the beautiful island of Cyprus) and make friends with amazing people from all over Europe.
Sandra Tarve – I would recommend it to everyone! If you already have done Erasmus project, then you know that it is addictive! When you haven’t tried it yet, then you should definitely take part of one. It is a experience you will never forget, you will meet a lot of like minded, smart and interesting people from other EU countries and gain knowledge which you maybe wouldn’t gain otherwise:) So definitely try it out and you will see life from the others perspective.
Other comments or anything else you would like to share? You can answer in your mother tongue, if you want!
Leo Kulisch – Taking part in this training course was an amazing experience that I will never forget in my life! Aitäh NÜH!
Sandra Tarve – Thank you, thank you for choosing the team that we had! I found my people and I am really grateful for that!
