nyh noortevahetus youth exchange poland winterNoored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “Get Ready! – Winter is Comingwhich will take place from 18sth November until 28th November 2022 in Rajcza, Poland.

Two years ago, before the pandemic, it seemed that our civilization was well prepared to face viruses. We believed that we knew what and how to do to ensure our safety and health. We focused on dangerous diseases, disregarding the simplest methods of fighting microorganisms. It was commonly believed that the disease would be inevitable in the fall and winter season. The motivation to look after my shield and protect the entire community was too weak. Even so, we did not consider these to be significant problems. The advice of experts was rarely listened to, and fake news began to gain voice. The disasters in the fight against the pandemic showed the real scale of the virus disregard problem. The overall goal of the project is to improve the protective shield of young people not only against the coronavirus, but also against other seasonal diseases. To achieve this, however, we must investigate the causes of our disasters in terms of disease prevention.

The result of the project will be to examine the health condition of young people and their needs. On this basis, young people will prepare and implement health campaigns aimed at improving health awareness in the field of prevention of diseases caused by viruses.

ACTIVITIES

While preparing for the activities young people will ask their peers in surveys about the condition of their health shield. On this basis, they will develop health care advice during a youth exchange. However, health issues will not be the only topic of the project’s activities. The meeting will also be an opportunity for integration, exchange of experiences, strengthening language competences and intercultural education. During the presentation of the culture of their countries and regions, the participants will also prepare interesting facts about their health.
