Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting an ESC call for 3 participants for European Solidarity Corps projects (ESC) which will take place from 01st September 2022 until 31st May 2023 in Cornedo Vicentino, Italy.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
- INCLUSION AND FIGHT AGAINST INEQUALITIES: Volunteers will explore the issues of inclusion by knowing the reality of people who are at risk of social exclusion. They will be involved in 2 different rehabilitation services for people with disabilities and in the integration service for migrants and refugees
- YOUTH AND ACTIVE PARTICIPATION: The team’s goal is to spread the values of non-formal education and use them to support the development of civic awareness. They will be involved in the Youth Information Centers, summer camps and educational after-school programs for kids.
- EUROPE AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION: they will be involved in the European projects development area which designs and implements projects funded by EU and other institutions, mainly in Erasmus+ and ESC fields.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The volunteers will live in apartments sharing a double bedroom with another volunteer (same gender) in Valdagno’s town center. The houses are equipped with all utilities. All administrative costs (electricity, water, renting costs, internet, etc) will be paid by the Hosting Organization. The volunteers will manage their own food and meals by receiving a food allowance (around € 150,00 per month). The individual support grant (pocket money) is around € 150,00 per month. Travel costs (return trip) will be reimbursed up to € 275. Visa costs will be covered.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
Volunteers will be given any training necessary to carry out their tasks. The volunteer will have the opportunity to gain social competencies, but also in the field of public relations, communication and event organisation. Most time it will be training on the job, this is the easiest way to learn all things quickly. They will not only be engaged in on-arrival and mid-term trainings, but also group trainings with all the volunteers hosted by Studio Progetto. There will be also the opportunity to attend special meetings/trainings with volunteers hosted by other local association/NGO.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
- Age between 18-30 years old
- Interested in working with vulnerable people (children, people with disability, migrants, teenagers and youngsters at risk of exclusion)
- Attitude to teamwork
- Patient, responsible, creative, open-minded, flexible and adaptable
