What were the biggest learning moments of the event for you?

Ave-Marleen Aesma – Learning about the 4R (refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle)

Baran Ovat – How different can the mentalities regarding environmental protection be between countries

Karl-Andreas Luik – For me, the biggest insights were due to intense and plentiful social connections I could find. I learned better what kind of a person I am and what I need. I also found several new interesting ways to better communicate with people. I will definitely try to find and create imitations in my home town.

Oona Elise Marie Luik – Practical workshop, where we learned about up-cycling

Toomas Ginter – How to make beewax covered cloth to protect food from air/bacteria

Yuxiao Zheng – I learnt how to use paper to make a wallet

Do you have any plans to continue being active in the field? If yes, what?

Ave-Marleen Aesma – Yes, I’d like to upcycle some other materials and use it for my jewelry business

Baran Ovat – No, I do not have any plans to be active in the field because I have other plans.

Karl-Andreas Luik – I will continue my volunteering in the field of informal youth education which has a lot of similarities with the workshops and activities we had at Brebu. Some of my activities will be environment related. I will continue being active in my local repair-community space. I hope I will find opportunities for upcycling, but repair and augmentation seems more practical and easy most of the time.

Oona Elise Marie Luik – I will definitely try to reduce my carbon footprint and share the learned knowledge with other people

Toomas Ginter – I might try doing some of the things I learnt there when I get the necessary tools and material.

Yuxiao Zheng – Yes. Maybe keep an eye on the post of the activities on FB

Would you recommend it to your friends? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Ave-Marleen Aesma – Yes, I gained new knowledge and good opportunity to improve your public speaking and teamwork skills

Baran Ovat – Yes, Erasmus+ is a perfect opportunity to travel abroad and make new friends and also learn about serious topics like these. It was great fun and I would do it again.

Karl-Andreas Luik – Yes definitely. Because you can get out of your established social patterns and learn so much new in such a short amount of time, if you have the energy to invest.

Oona Elise Marie Luik – Yes, I feel like I learned a lot

Toomas Ginter – Would definitely recommend! It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and cultures, visit new places and get great memories!

Yuxiao Zheng – Yes. It’s a good experience to meet up new friends with different cultural backgrounds
