Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange project called “Brancaleone 2” which will take place from 1st until 15th June 2022 in Salento, Italy.

Brancaleone 2 project intends to involve 37 european youngsters from Italy, Spain, Georgia, Romania, Germany, Poland and Estonia, crossing part of the Adriatic Sea in Puglia Region by canoe and the path between the rivers and gorges of the Val di Lima in Tuscany Region in Italy.
13 days activities in contact with nature, where participants will have the opportunity to appreciate “sweet mobility”, the way of slowness and healthy competitiveness, measuring themselves with a courageous company from many symbolic references.
Brancaleone 2 is a journey aimed to build up a space for intercultural dialogue and social solidarity. A vast and boundless field like the Mediterranean sea, which in recent years has become a symbol of welcome and hope for thousands of refugees.
For this reason Brancaleone 2 will also involve young refugees seeking asylum who have crossed Mediterranean with many difficulties.
Project departs from Lecce, involves kayaking, trekking & rafting and ends up in the Tuscany region.
Agenda:
– outdoor activities as kayaking, rafting, trekking on the rock;
– on the 8th day of activities all the participants will take a train or a bus from Puglia to Tuscany;
– each night the group will sleep in tents;
– each night one national group is responsible to organize evaluation activities.
There are 5 vacancies in the project.
Profile of the participant:
- 18-25 years old
- Resident in Estonia
- sporty
- motivated to participate
- adventurous
- comfy in sleeping in tents and spending time outdoors in nature.
The Erasmus + programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse travel costs up to 300€ to the participants. The project has a 40€ participation fee.
