Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “Back to school“ which will take place from 22nd February until 2nd March 2022 in Şanlıurfa, Turkey.
ABOUT THE PROJECT…
“Early School Leaving” is defined as the inability of the student who continues education to complete the educational level that he / she is in for individual, school, family and social reasons. This problem, which is an obstacle to economic growth and employment, feeds on facts such as poverty and social exclusion. This situation takes its place in Europe’s 2020 education strategy as a target to reduce the early school dropout rate of young people berween the ages of 18-24 to less than 10%. Students leaving school have social and economic implications besides the individual consequences of the problem. The cost of leaving school; every year, social welfare is very high in terms of low income, unemployment expenditures and prevention of crime. The fact that someone who leaves high school earns less income than a high school graduate can be shown among the personal results. Employment opportunities for those who leave high school are limited and these individuals have a higher risk of low self-esteem.
Therefore, when the results it causes are considered, it is considered versatile loss. The main causes of school dropout were determined as seasonal work, in school mismatch, inability to socialize, exclusion cultural family factors.
PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT
The main purpose of our project, which was created based on these concrete problems is to address the disadvantages experienced by young people and children and their results, at the regional, national and European level to enable disadvantaged young people to meet new opportunities by meeting Erasmus + and nonformal education.
This event will bring together participants from Turkey, Estonia, Slovakia, Czech Republic and North Macedonia. The event will be held in English. There are 10 vacancies available and participants should be from 18 to 30 years old and a group leader without an age limit.
The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 360 euros. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.
