KOOLITUS
Name of the project: “The Power of Storytelling” Training Course
Date: 2nd till 10th December 2021
City/Country: Haapsalu, Estonia
What was the main topic of the event?
Yasin Lossini – How to use storytelling in educational settings
Alisa Hlebnikova – Storytelling. Besides that we learned a lot about public speaking.
What was the biggest learning moments on the event for you?
Yasin Lossini – My biggest learning moment was realizing there are multiple ways and techniques to tell a story. Depending on the situation and circumstance these different methods and tools can be used to tell a story in a certain way to reach the targeted audience.
Alisa Hlebnikova – For me there were two moments. First one was when I learned the most was an activity where we were taught of the structure of stories. The second one was during an activity where we taught about how to use our voice to highlight important parts of the story.
Do you have any plans to continue active in the field? If yes, what?
Yasin Lossini – Yes I plan to use this knowledge gained at this course to further more explore and apply to my field as a Visual designer. In my field I use Graphic Design and Illustration to solve problems and tell stories. This Course has added a few more tools in my toolbox that will contribute to my future creations and help me create a stronger narrative and more effectively engage my audience.
Alisa Hlebnikova – Yes, I’m planning to participate in more projects, where I can put skills gain during the training course in practice.
Would you recommend it to your friends? I yes, why? If not, why not?
Yasin Lossini – Yes I would recommend this experience to my friends as storytelling is part of human nature. We use storytelling to connect with other humans, storytelling helps us tap into our own inner world.
Alisa Hlebnikova – I would definitely recommend this experience, because the knowledge gained here is applicable not only for educational purposes, but in real life as well.
Other comments or anything else you would like to share? You can answer in your mother tongue, if you want!
Yasin Lossini – Asante Sana!
