NOORTEVAHETUS
Name of the project: Your Passion, Your Career Youth Exchange
Date: 21st until 29th August 2021
City/Country: Budapest, Hungary
What was the main topic of the event?
Elisabeth Luisk – Finding your passion and exploring different career decisions of young people.
Madli Kaljo – Career planning
Elisabeth Heinsalu – Finding your passion, different possibilities to make your career.
What was the biggest learning moments on the event for you?
Elisabeth Luisk – My biggest learning moment was actually realising how different educational backgrounds people around Europe have (regarding school systems, quality of education etc).
Madli Kaljo – My biggest learning moment was finding out, how different is everyones starting point. I found a lot of motivation and inspiration for the future as well as many ideas of how i could contribute to society.
Elisabeth Heinsalu – I learned a lot about different cultures and saw that people may be different outside but in the deeper level, being just human, we are all the same. The topic was relevant, because there are so many possibilities where we can’t orient anymore and it was great to learn about volunteering, making your own business and so on.
Do you have any plans to continue active in the field? If yes, what?
Elisabeth Luisk – I would definitely love to participate in some other projects and in autumn we are going to give some lectures with my Estonian team to introduce students in Estonia about NYH wonderful opportunities!
Madli Kaljo – For now we continue with our after project work of informing high school students about volunteering and travelling options and erasmus.
Elisabeth Heinsalu – Our Estonian team have some plans for spreading the word about different opportunities. How to follow your passion or find your path. We’ll make workshops for youngsters.
Would you recommend it to your friends? I yes, why? If not, why not?
Elisabeth Luisk – I definitely would, because the whole project was so much fun and learning altogether plus amazing team to work with.
Madli Kaljo – Depends on the friends. I don’t think these projects fit everyone, but personally I feel like I got plenty from it. I think everyone should experience something similar at least once, because it gives a lot
Elisabeth Heinsalu – Definitely, every experience is worth to experience, diving into cold water is the only way to see what is on the seabed.
