Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “Community Organising for Youth Workers” which will take place from 16th until 24th October 2021 in Strasbourg, France.
The overall aim of the proposed training is to create a deeper understanding of the civil society actors and the role we have in our nations and be able to approach it with non-violent communication techniques. We will start with exploring the meaning of the words conflict, youth movement, peace etc. and at the same time we will follow social movements for democracy and justice, movements against discrimination and racism and we will explore present developments in different regions, movements born during the economic crisis and other important actors around the world and especially Europe.
We understand integration a political dimension on youth work not only about awareness of Rights and Duties, but also a matter of Participation, Responsibility and Sense of Belonging of young people in various level from Local, National, European and Global societies. Therefore, the competence of the youth worker/leader to be active in those measures are quite relevant as it’s the core base for the activism. That means an overall system of values, attitudes and beliefs, as well as skills and knowledge which can be put into practice to manage diverse complex situations and tasks successfully.
Competences gained:
- Connecting [youth] policies and educational programmes;
- Integrating political values and beliefs which reflect on their personal political values and beliefs in the course and to act in a responsible and constructive manner
- Supporting young people in developing political thinking
- Applying democracy and human rights principles
This event will bring together 38 participants from Estonia, France, Poland, Italy, Sweden, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Romenia, Lithuania, Slovenia and Spain. The event will be held in English. There are 3 vacancies available, and participants should be from older than 18 years old.
The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 245 euros. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.
