Noored Ühiskonna Heaks(NYH) is promoting a call for volunteer for European Solidarity Corps placement called “Waldorf Kindergarten Villach” for 12 months, which will take place from September 2020 in Villach, Austria.

 

 

The Waldorfkindergarten Villach is beautifully located in Carinthia (Austria), close to the borders of Italy and Slovenia. It offers children at the age of 1.5 to 6 years the chance to experience a daily routine, focusing on learning by doing and living a holistic view of mankind. Overall there are four kindergarten groups with about 20 children each aged 3 to 6 years and two nursery groups for up to 15 infants aged 1 to 3 years. Every kindergarten group is led by two educationalists while the groups for the infants are led by three educationalists each. Extraordinary about this kindergarten is the anthroposophical influence. Keeping up with rituals and repeating daily rhythms gives certainty to the children. Furthermore, mechanical and artistic skills are highly valued and supported, following the Waldorf pedagogy. As a basic principle the children are playing in the garden every day. Another element of both kindergartens is the intense cooperation with parents.

 

The Profile of the volunteer:

You are motivated, interested, responsible, reliable, calm, easy-going, helpful, careful, farseeing, joyfully, neatly and on time? You are interested in working with children and being part of our team? If you can answer most of these questions with ‘yes’, we are happy to offer you a job as a volunteer in our kindergarten!

The volunteer have the usual kindergarten shipf with 35 hours/week shift, from Monday to Friday. Every Monday there is a meeting with the Coordinator to check the working plan of the previous week and schedule the working plan for the next week. Individual or group meetings will be organised with the Tutor to talk about their personal project and development.

 

Accommodation and food: 

The volunteer will be accommodated in a shared flat in the center of Villach with rent and all the utilities covered. The kindergarten will be in walking distance to the accommodation.

 

Pocket Money and Food Money: We will provide €500 (every 30 days) as food and pocket money.

The Erasmus + Programme will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants (up to 275 euros).
