Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for volunteer for European Solidarity Corps placement called “Stars on blUE” for 11 months in Verona (Valdagno), Italy.
The ESС project will take place at the Social Cooperative Studio Progetto which manages 1 Kindergarten, 1 After-school programme during the school year (September – June) and, in summertime, several Summer Camps, placed in various municipalities of the valleys of the river Agno and Chiampo. The activities are addressed both to babies (0-3 years old), children (6-10 years old) and to youngsters (11-14).
In the kindergarden the educators take care of kids and run educational activities, in the centres for children, during the afternoon, the operators assist them in their homework and involve them in recreational activities/labs. In Summer Camps children and youngsters are involved in different kind of activities: outdoor sports, dance, handcrafts, theatre, etc.
The Profile of the volunteer:
- age between 18-30 years old
- interested in working with children
- team spirit
- patient, responsible, creative, open-minded
The volunteer’s tasks are the following:
- Children’s first welcome
- to support in the realization of scheduled activities (creativity labs, trips/walks, sports, etc…)
- to take part in the weekly staff meeting. The volunteer will be involved in the planning works
Beside this, volunteer, in cooperation with the other ESC volunteers, will be involved in addictional activities and their tasks will be:
- to take part in the language conversation group with local young people and citizens
- to participate in the meetings on the topic of the abroad mobility
- to open and keeps a blog about ESC/update the FB page
Accommodation and food:
The volunteer will live in 1 apartment with another volunteer (same gender) in the Valdagno’s town center. The apartment has 1 double bedroom, with shared cooking and living room and bathroom. The house is equipped with all utilities. All administrative costs (electricity, water, renting costs, etc) will be paid by the Hosting Organization.
The volunteer will manage his/her own food and meals by receiving a food allowance (around € 150,00 per month). The individual support grant (pocket money) is € 1.660,00 (around € 150,00 per month).
The Erasmus + Programme will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants (up to 275 euros).
