Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “X-Pending Sound” which will take place from 19th until 26th August 2019 in Elsbethen, Austria.
The project reaches out to young people who want to meet people from other cultures and learn skills in the field of creating music. In interactive workshops the participants will learn various approaches of creating music.
Some of the workshops will be:
Body Percussion, Beatboxing, Soundpainting, Digital Music Production, Recording and DJ-ing.
No prior knowledge or skills are necessary for participating in the Youth Exchange.
Only the interest for the topic and the motivation to learn something new from and with each other must be given. Collaboration will play a strong role in the activities as it strengthens the exchange of knowledge and experience between participants.
During the week performances will be prepared in mixed groups, which will be presented on the last evening of the project. After the project a short documentation will be created in order to show the results and activities of the week.
You will:

- Learn to record & manipulate sounds
- Develop performative instruments
- Work together on projects
- Meet new awesome people
- Improve self-perception
- Learn from each other
- Create sound for film
This event will bring together 24 participants from Estonia, Czech Republic, Austria and Romania. The event will be held in English. There are 6 vacancies available and participants should be from 16 until 23 years old.
The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 275 euros. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.
