Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for 1 Estonian volunteer for the European Solidarity Corps placement called “Equal in Creativity” for 12 months, which will take place from 15th September 2019 to 14th September 2020 in Faenza, Italy.
Hosting Organization: S.E.M.I. – Seeds for More Interculture
Description:
S.E.M.I. will be hosting two volunteers, one from Greece and the other from Estonia. The aim of the project is of creating a rich intercultural environment in Faenza, fostering integration through creativity. Activities (learning and volunteering): international projects (researching, sending, writing), Italian language, social media and blogging, inclusive theatre, personal projects (what would you like to share and teach?).
Profile of the volunteer:
Aged 18-30, from Estonia, male or female. Speaking English and/or Italian and/or Spanish. Open minded, creative, willing to absorb the Italian culture, to share knowledge, to show initiative and implement own projects!
Activities of the volunteer:
The activities will be equally divided into Learning and Volunteering, they will follow a learning by doing approach in the frame of non formal education.
– Languages (Italian and English) – Implementing own projects
– Writing European projects
– Courses with Asylum Seekers
– Researches on non formal education methods – Social media management and blogging
– Development of international projects
– Collaboration with schools
– Promoting Erasmus+
– Theatre with Asylum seekers (Teatro due Mondi) – More? Ideas? 🙂
Accommodation:
The accommodations of the volunteers are an apartment situated in Faenza city center or the guest house of the Contamination LAB, also in city center. There will be double rooms (fully furnished), to be shared with another volunteer or a student of the same gender, and all the necessary facilities.
Food & pocket money:
Each month the volunteer will receive 280€ for food and pocket money.
Travel:
The travel costs to the hosting organization and back home will be reimbursed up to 275€.
Preparation:
Noored Ühiskonna Heaks will help with all the preparation for the volunteering experience.
