Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange project called “Brancaleone” which will take place from 30th June until 14th July 2019 in Italy.
This is a cycling project where 40 young people from Estonia, Italy, Poland, Cyprus, Georgia, Spain, Romania and France will depart from Lecce, South-Italy and after 2 weeks arrive to Fucecchio, near Florence.
Topic: sustainable tourism & sustainable mobility
Description:
Sustainable tourism is becoming increasingly popular between young people, and thanks both to the experience in the field and in the Erasmus+ program of the involved organizations, it has been possible (or even necessary), to present a project that combines sport activities with tourism and social awareness.
Participants are going to see an unusual part of Italy outside the main city centers, made by a lot of different social realities willing to host them in exchange for small and simple but concrete and essential help. A sort of social woofing in places where natural disasters have occurred, where goods and lands have been confiscated from criminal organizations, where refugees hosting and small or disadvantaged communities live together.
The bikes are provided by the Italian partner & the participants will be sleeping in tents along the way.
There are 5 vacancies in the project. We are also looking for 1 group leader (18+, without upper age limit) who could go to the APV (Advance planning visit) 7-10 May in Amatrice, Italy.
Profile of the participant:
- 18-30 years old
- Resident in Estonia
- Love cycling (being able to cycle around 40 km per day)
The Erasmus + programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse travel costs up to 300€ to the participants. The project has a 40€ participation fee.
All the interested people should fill in the application form below.
Application deadline: 26th April 2019
