Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “The Elephant in the Room” which will take place from 11th until 17th June 2019 in Kolin, Czech Republic.
The training course will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed when addressing sensitive topics, establishing deep, trusting dialog and building nonviolent communication with others, which is especially important in youth work. But the knowledge and experience gained in this training course can be easily used to benefit your everyday life and boost your self-development process.
The aim of the course is:
To provide Youth Workers with knowledge, tools, methods for how to create
Safe Spaces for Dialogue and how to address social taboos held by young people.
We want to accomplish our aim by achieving these objectives:
1) Providing participants with basic knowledge and competences as to how to address tabooed topics in order for them to help prevent isolation of youth they work with.
2) Raising awareness among youth workers about issues affecting certain groups of young people in order to promote social inclusion.
3) To ensure exchange of best practices among the participants by creating a safe space for sharing.
4) Providing participants with tools for establishing a constructive dialogue, which can solve fights and arguments.
This event will bring together 24 participants from Czech Republic, Estonia, Spain, Poland, Italy, UK, Denmark and Bulgaria. The event will be held in English. There are 3 vacancies available and participants should be minimum 18 years old.
The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 245 euros. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.
