Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for 2 volunteers for European Solidarity Corps placements called “Europahaus Klagenfurt” for 12 months, which will take place from February 2019 to January 2020 in Klagenfurt, Austria.

Europahaus Klagenfurt was founded 1965 and is a non-governmental and non-profit association. Based on its European educational, informational and cultural work, Europahaus Klagenfurt accompanies the evolution and integration of Europe and is a member of EUNET (European Network for Education and Training Association) and the Austrian Federation of Europe Houses.
Europahaus Klagenfurt is a European institution aiming to inform the citizens of Carinthia (appr. 560.000 inhabitants) not only on special occasions, but also promotes cross-border dialogue, thus reducing the information deficit and the EU-critical attitude of the people through objective discussions, thereby strengthening the European awareness and to provide European values. The work of the Europahaus Klagenfurt includes extracurricular information and training as well as cultural activities for representatives of all professions and age groups, for all European citizens who are interested in the foundations of European unity, European values and the current European policy.
In addition to the development of interactive teaching materials, traveling exhibitions, EU dialogue tours in the districts, lectures and debates on EU topics the Europahaus Klagenfurt is conducting youth meetings and youth work in general, which is a particular concern of the association.
The main duties and responsibilities are
• Assistance for Social Media (Facebook, Youtube, Instagram)
• Supporting public relations (creating posters, leaflets, movies,…)
• Information point
• Advice during Conception and organization of events, workshops, exhibitions, projects…
• Support during events, workshops
• Informing young people about possibilities of the European Union
• Participating in European Breakfast/Cafés
The Profile of the volunteer: proactive, motivated to work in a youth center environment, with sense of responsibility, like to work in a team, flexible, with handwork skills, and communication ability.
Volunteer time would be of 07 hours per day, 05 days per week, two consecutive days off per week and 2 days holiday per month for the duration of the project.
Accommodation: We will provide accommodation in an student dorm with private bedroom with fully equipped kitchen, toilet and laundry facilities. The costs with electricity, water, gas and Internet are covered by the Coordinating Organization. The volunteers will have towels and bed clothes for the entire period of the project.
Food and Pocket Money: We will provide €490 (every 30 days) to cover costs of food and extra expenses during non-working time.
The Erasmus + Programme will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants (up to 275 euros).
