Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “Youth power against hate speech on-line” which will take place from 12th until 21st November 2018 in Lyaskovets, Bulgaria.
“Youth power against hate speech on-line” is an international project of youth exchange, involving 48 young people from European Countries. It will take place in central nothern Bulgaria, in a town called Lyaskovets.
The main goal of our exchange is to make young people more aware on online hate speech in their countries. The topic is recently present in Europe and all over the world and it is important to raise the awareness of youth and make them realize the importance of the problem. This phenomenon appears in the life of young people at an early age due to early socialization and constant communication thanks to well-developed technology. We want to develop participants’ knowledge and skills to recognize and counteract hate speech on the Internet.
This project is based on the principles of non-formal learning and new digital technologies. Thanks to this project particiapants will have a better understanding of the topic and they will have more skills to recognize hate language online.
This event will bring together 48 participants from Estonia, Romania, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic, Italy and Bulgaria. The event will be held in English. There are 6 vacancies and participants should be from 18 to 29 years old. There is no age limit for the group leader.
The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 275 euros. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.
