Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “You Can Do It!” which will take place from 16th until 24th November 2018 in Olsztyn, Poland.
“You can do it!” is the international youth exchange in which the main theme is handmade activities. During the workshops the young people will learn different techniques and methods by which they can personally carry unique items for example: decoupage, quilling, scrapbooking, string art . They can use acquired skills in the future, for example to selling their own products. During the project it will be a workshop with a professional counselor who will help determine the professional skills of participants, their strengths and weaknesses. For a summary of the project participants will organize an exhibition of works that arose during the project, also they will prepare open workshop with selected methods for kids from Kindergarten and Elementary School. All hand made things will be given to children for the charity.
The project will develop creative thinking while creating new original things and will feel that all participants create something new, innovative, original and useful. Participants will learn to work in international groups, develop their creativity, critical thinking, and gain social competence. During the exchange, young people will become acquainted with the culture and language of the partner countries, overcome stereotypes and linguistic and cultural barriers. The activities planned in the project are intended to stimulate imagination and creative thinking as well as international integration. By participating in the project participants will acquire new skills and competences that they will be able to use in the future.
ACTIVITIES
- Name games, ice-breaking games, trust games and teambuilding.
- Handmade Workshops: decoupage, quilling, scrapbooking, string art
- Language animation.
- City tour in Olsztyn.
- Interaction with local people from Olsztyn (kids and youth).
This event will bring together 24 participants from Romania, Estonia, Lithuania and Poland. The event will be held in English. There are 6 vacancies available and participants should be from 17 to 23 years old.
The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 275 euros. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.
