What was the main topic of the event?
Reelika Lõhmus – The main topic was to share experiences and knowledge about migration situation in attending participant’s countries. Also to share good practices and experiences in working with migrants.
Darja Sotnikova – Migration
What was the biggest learning moments on the event for you?
Reelika Lõhmus – The biggest learning moment was finding out facts and the migration situation in Estonia and comparing the problems and difficulties with other attending countries.
Darja Sotnikova – How to communicate with different kinds of people, and stay calm in every situation.
Do you have any plans to continue active in the field? If yes, what?
Reelika Lõhmus – Yes, I would like to find out how I can help in my community and use the knowledge gained in my field of work and possibly volunteer in a center for migrants to help out with the activities for children. Also contribute to help in educational field for migrant and refugee children.
Darja Sotnikova – About Erasmus+, maybe I can help NGO Youth for society with paper work, but as a participant I feel that I have enough experience for now.
After this training course I definitely became more aware and interested in the topic of migration. I want to be a volunteer in NGO that Is related to helping refugees any time soon.
Would you recommend it to your friends? I yes, why? If not, why not?
Reelika Lõhmus – I would definitely recommend these kinds of training courses to my friends. During the training course in addition to the new knowledge on the subject I also gained more experience in speaking and writing, new contacts from all over the world, self-confidence and better understanding of myself and my opinions.
Darja Sotnikova – Yes, of course I will. It Is a good opportunity to develop your personal and professional skills. Also I promise you will meet a lot of awesome people.
