Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “Multicultural Sound” which will take place from 16th until 25th April 2018 in Malaga, Spain.
MULTICULTURAL SOUND is a youth exchange within the frame of frame of Erasmus + related to multiculturalism, social inclusion and stopping rumors about migration.
The project will consist of different activities aimed at raising awareness among young people and showing that multiculturalism and diversity can be synonymous but not in the negative way.
We plan to visit various reception centers with the objective to get to know their stories and reality in order to create an environment of dialogue which is useful for personal growth. There will be discussions organized to confront young people on important issues such as immigration, multiculturalism, human rights, European Union, etc.
In addition, there will be prepared other workshops such as African dance and percussion activities where young people can have fun and learn something different from Western European traditions, with the aim of learning about multiculturalism and finding the things that can create union among people instead of things that separate us.
By mixing multiculturalism and art, young people will be able to grow intellectually by interacting with their equals. At the end of the project, we hope that participants could go back to their home countries with new ideas, more open-minded and with experiences and colorful memories to share with their friends and other local youngsters.
This event will bring together 35 participants from Estonia, Italy, Portugal, Macedonia, Hungary, Turkey and Spain. The event will be held in English. There are 5 vacancies available and participants should be from 16 to 22 years old.
The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 515 euros. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.
