Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Long Term Training Course called “Peer for Inclusion” which will take place from 14th until 22nd May 2018 and 18th until 24th September 2018 in Arad, Romania.
Statistics, own research and observations indisputably showed that at EU level persons with disabilities have far less opportunities to get engaged in youth and non-formal education activities than their peers with no disabilities. “Peers for Inclusion” comes as a response to the identified need in form of a K1 Mobility for Youth workers with 2 training modules that will take place in Arad, Romania.
During the 1st module youth workers will learn how to improve the activities that their associations are doing so that people with visual impairments can also participate. They will learn more about what they need to take into consideration when working with persons with visual impairments, how they should act as a sighted guide, how to prepare accessible working materials and much more.
In the 2nd module, the participants that gained some experience in working with persons with disabilities will discover how to teach others to be more inclusive in their work. This “Train the Trainer” will give them the chance to develop their facilitation skills and to learn how to develop a training program that addresses inclusion.
This event will bring together 22 participants from Estonia, United Kingdom, Portugal, Belgium, Italy, Romania, Greece, Poland, Latvia, Macedonia and Turkey. The event will be held in English. There are 2 vacancies available and participants should be minimum 18 years old.
The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 275 euros. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.
All the interested people should fill the application form below.
