Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange named Culture – straight to the heart! which will take place from 18th until 27th August 2017in Piekary, Krakow, Poland.
Our main goal is mutual intercultural learning and breaking stereotypes and prejudices that burden the relationships. We want to strengthen our friendship bonds, get to know each other better by using the richness of our cultures. During this 8 days of non-formal education workshops we will discuss visible elements of culture: folk dances, traditions, cuisines, and songs which will provide us with deeper understanding of our values and in effect will lead to understanding of the intercultural dependence.
Through this exchange we would like to identify and realize differences and similarities connected with culture from various European nations. During the workshops and discussions we want to find some similarities linking our traditions and try to work out common dialogue for understanding our diversity. The cultural heritage defines young people from all over Europe, but today the awareness of common cultural roots is often very low. This project will be a great opportunity for the development of intercultural competence among the participants. Together we will work out methods for solving the problems encountered in the field of mutual intercultural communication – including our cultural sensitivity.
This event will bring together 40 participants from Poland, Estonia, Spain, Hungary, Lithuania, Turkey, Germany and Bulgaria. There are 5 vacancies available. Participant should be minimum 18 until 30 years old.
